The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum

Today, my family and I visited The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum. My 7-year-old daughter found the safety clips and climbing a bit challenging and scary. But thanks to Thomas, one of the staff members, she had a much better time. He patiently explained how to use the safety clips, encouraged her, and paid close attention to her needs. After our adventure, my daughter wanted to try the zip line but was nervous about the distance. Kris (I hope I spelled the name right) stepped in and offered to help. My daughter's eyes lit up with joy, and Kris's kindness made a big difference. We're so grateful to him. The Adventure Park is a fun and safe place for families with a caring staff. Thomas and Kris are excellent examples of the kind and dedicated people you'll find here. If you're thinking about visiting with your kids, don't hesitate. We highly recommend it for an unforgettable family adventure. Thanks to the entire team for making our day special.

We had an awesome birthday party for our daughter's 9th birthday. The kids had so much fun, they didn't want to stop climbing or go home! My daughter said it was her best birthday ever and the kids are already asking when we can go back. Due to the pandemic, we all wore masks most of the time (the kids weren't required to wear them when they were climbing as long as they were far apart from others), but the kids didn't complain once about the masks. We were able to be socially distant from others and still have a really fun party.

One of the premier family attractions in Fairfield County, hands down. The staff are what truly make this place special. My Daughter was terrified of one of the Yellow Courses and had to turn back. Chris Moon, the Park Manager, took the time to help her gain confidence on the purples courses and before we knew it, not only was she crushing the Yellow courses, she took her last one all on her own! We also had 2 kids in our group that needed to be "rescued" after feeling a bit uncomfortable with a particular element. The two staff members who responded in each case were outstanding. They quickly tended to their needs, placed them at ease, and were extremely engaging. My family can't wait to come back!

I just have to say the staff here just made this place such a monumental memory for myself and kids. We have been to both parks and even though we had a wonderful time at the Storrs location, this one was above and beyond. The manager Chris was absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in and he greeted us. I also can’t even begin to thank Owen W for being so knowledgeable and he was great at safely directing everyone to the correct courses and just being so sweet with my kids. During our adventure my very short 7 year old got really panicked at just one obstacle and was crying and thought she couldn’t do it. Chris saw her crying and assured her she could do it and from the ground talked her step by step across the obstacles. He de-escalated the situation and made her feel so amazing for accomplishing that section by herself. All the staff there made our adventure so much better then I knew it was going to be. We will be going back to that location again. I am so glad we decided to try this location for a change.
